Why the American Dream is not attainable for some black people
In the latest episode of Jon Stewart’s show, The Problem, he mentions that for most black ppl, the American Dream is unattainable.
When hearing that, I immediately recoiled. How dare he say that! That is the epitome of liberal white progressives telling black ppl that they have no agency and can do nothing on their own. It is saying that only with the help of the almighty white liberal elite, can black ppl achieve. It flies in the face of all that I believe and have experienced. I believe in the Word of God and I can do what God says I can do. I have what God says I have. No man can stop that.
Yet, when I really take a step back and delve deeper into his comments, I see the sinister nature of those comments. While they initially caused me to recoil, I then began to understand why he would say something like that and how it is true, based upon the current definition of the American Dream.
The current definition of the American Dream is all based on hyper materialism. What does that mean? It means a heightened value placed on the accumulation of wealth and of things. It places the acquisition of material objects as the ultimate marker of success. That by having the fanciest car, the biggest house, the best jobs, and the most money, all the while forsaking your biblical values in pursuit of secular power. That is what the modern American Dream looks like. Well, based on that, most black ppl will never achieve the American Dream? Why?
Well, it’s because this secular system is set up for only the elites to succeed. A secular system is based on the ideas and dictates of men. So, when a government gives subsidies and enacts programs that remove the ability for a group of ppl to achieve on their own merit, then naturally those ppl can only go so far in that system. Instead, they become slaves to the system and are locked into a state of mediocrity. This state of mediocrity leads to poverty and crime, which leads to death and destruction. That is where the majority of black ppl are today. They have allowed themselves to be placed in a secular system that is rigged to render them unable to achieve the so-called American Dream.
But, this was intentional. The intention is to make these ppl victims, so they can feel contempt for the country that they live in. They are being used as pawns in a globalist game of power and control. The globalists, marxists, communists want to destroy America. So, they are using the straw-man of race to drive a wedge between Americans.
So, based on this, most black ppl cannot and will not achieve the modern American Dream because it is secular in nature and rigged for their failure in practice.
However, if they pursued the true American Dream, then they would be able to have good success. The true American Dream, the one that drove the Pilgrims to America, is the idea that man’s rights come from God. That man has individual agency and should be free to worship their God how they choose without hindrance from the state. In essence, it is a recognition of the individual will to make decisions for him or herself, without government intrusion. And, this is based on a biblical worldview, because the real American Dream is not secular, but biblical. It uses biblical principles that have been proven to lead to true and lasting prosperity.
This is the American Dream that black ppl in the Mississippi Delta, Wilmington NC, Tulsa, OK, amongst others, used to build communities and thriving black families. They took the truths found in the Word of God and applied them to their lives. They put their trust in the God of the Bible and believed in Him to meet their needs. They had no trust for the state.
Without a return to the true American Dream, most black ppl will lead defeated lives because they are being deceived by the god of this world. He is blinding their eyes, so the glorious truth of the gospel cannot shine upon them.
We are not victims. We are empowered for greatness.
