I had an interesting discussion recently with members of the elder generation.
We were discussing why it seems black people, for the most part, seem to destroy and tear down whatever is given to them.
We were talking about an amusement location that recently saw an influx of black patrons. This location started off well, but it has now descended into a diminished shell of its former self.
This is the state of most if not all urban centers in every municipality or town.
When you drive through a city, you can immediately spot where the black people live.
Why is that? Has that always been the case?
What is it about black people that we are for the most part associated with sub standard living, sub standard achievement, and a lack of concern for the upkeep of ourselves and our environments.
I believe this is a result of government intrusion all in the name of equity.
These roots can be traced back to the progressive movement in the early 1900s.
The leaders of that movement saw government as the means to meet the ends of its citizens.
Those leaders also were the ones advocating and implementing policies around eugenics.
Eugenicists truly believed they had the power to create a better race. All that was needed was the removal of the undesirables.
Fast forward to FDR and his New Deal to LBJ and his Great Society. You see the handiwork of the progressive movement.
The first group to feel the effects of this ideology was the black community.
Why?
Because in the eyes of the eugenics community, black people were the highest rung of the undesirables.
When they could not eradicate the black community through sterilization, lynching, and terror, a new plan was hatched. Destroy their family and culture.
When the black family began to fray and tear, the fabric of the community began to tatter.
This is even more pronounced when we see the rate of abortion in the black community.
When people feel that no one cares or there is no hope, they lose value for life. And when you feel life has no value, you do not respect people or things.
Combine that with hyper materialism and you end up with a culture and community that would rather sit in line for hours for a new pair of Js instead of spending that time improving themselves spiritually, emotionally, and professionally.
Self-destruction is the obvious result.
