Americans still have a challenge when it comes to “Race”.
The latest entrant into the fight amongst the colorblind camp and the anti-racist camp is the newly hired coach of the New England Patriots, Jerrod Mayo.
During the press conference announcing his hiring, a reporter asked a question regarding race.
This was Mayo’s response:
Now, depending upon which tribe you are a part of, this answer was either criticized or welcomed.
On the colorblind side, you have Charlie Kirk…
On the anti-racist side you have Jemele Hill…
Which one of them is right?
In my opinion, NEITHER.
Being colorblind is absurd and non-biblical.
Revelation 7:9 AMPC says:
”After this I looked and a vast host appeared which no one could count, [gathered out] of every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages. These stood before the throne and before the Lamb; they were attired in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.“
God is a God of diversity. He created multiple ethnicities out of one race, the human race.
”And He made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation (their settlements, lands, and abodes),“
Acts 17:26 AMPC
Being colorblind indicates that one does not appreciate the uniqueness of individuals that come from different backgrounds.
Being colorblind implies a uniformity based upon a construct that those in power create.
That is not the basis for a more just society.
Yet, on the other hand, seeing race in all you do is definitely not a path to success.
This type of thinking keeps black people in bondage.
Yet, as believers we are free because Christ purchased our freedom.
”Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.“
John 8:36 NKJV
Buying into the Marxist lie that Black people are still fighting for liberation, puts one back into the bonds of slavery.
Because now the power to liberate does not come from within, it is determined upon the benevolence of white liberals.
The same white liberals who have intentionally destroyed black communities in order to bring about their political revolution.
Miss me with that.
As a black man, who grew up in Mississippi, I know what racism looks like and smells like.
However, as a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, color does not dictate how I live my life.
