No one can deny that the world is more chaotic now than it has been in the past.
From the rise in crime, to the lack of respect for humanity, we can’t help but to notice how our country and world is in a downward cycle.
Yet, when we look to our government for guidance on all levels, it seems as if they are either affirming it or ignoring it.
Why would civic leaders not have a burning desire to solve the problems of their constituents?
To understand this, we must look at the simple law of supply and demand.
Supply and Demand? That’s for economics, right? How can that explain the inaction or indifference of government?
When America was founded, it was founded on the truth found in the Word of God. From that truth, came all of the policies and laws to govern the land.
And the underlying foundation and premise was the principle of self-governance.
In a republic or democracy, self-governance is vital.
The people must have the capacity and willingness to self-regulate. That’s the reason the federal government was initially limited in its authority. When the people are moral and religious there is not a need for big government.
On the contrary, when the people are no longer virtuous and can’t self-regulate that’s when government expands. That is what we have today.
The people are no longer living by natural, divine order. They do whatever feels good to them, regardless of whether that will harm anyone else.
Irresponsibility has run amuck.
Paradoxically, the institution that should reign in the irresponsibility, the church, has affirmed it.
So, when the citizenry will not self-regulate and the church has abdicated its role in the culture, something has to meet the demand.
Hence government.
Government now has to expand to meet the needs of a depraved society. In doing so, it restricts the natural rights in order expand societal rights.
It is not natural for a woman or man to destroy their progeny. Yet, in the age of irresponsibility, the government must make abortion safe and legal so the woman can live her best life.
God instituted marriage. However, men and women have been seduced by the spirit of homosexuality. Thus, we must redefine marriage to accommodate.
What does this lead to in the end?
Tyranny.
Get ready for more mandates and less freedom.
Because the demand calls for it.
