We have all seen those glass cases either on a plane or in any other public place. The cases usually have some direction to “In the case of emergency, break glass.”
The inference being that only when the situation is dire or life-threatening, use this as a last resort.
It is not meant to be used as a crutch. Or, to be relied upon on a regular basis.
Unfortunately, generations of young black children have been given the crutch of the failure protocol.
What is the failure protocol?
It is the intentional manipulation of the minds of young people to convince them that the odds are stacked against them.
And, the reason why the odds are not in their favor is because of the oppression that has been inflicted upon them by white people. It is this oppression that has led to their current predicament. Notwithstanding any decisions or actions they have taken.
Everything that has happened to them is the result of the white oppression that is dominating their life.
This failure protocol establishes in the minds of impressionable youth, that white people are the enemy. Not only do they have them under their thumbs, they are the only ones who can solve the oppression.
What does that do? It strips them of their individual agency. It strips them of any dignity. It strips them of hope.
The Bible talks about how hope deferred makes the heart sick. A vast majority of our children have been sickened by the failure protocol.
Just look at the mayhem occurring in the schools. Instead of teaching children reading, writing, and arithmetic, they are teaching them how to dress in drag.
Children no longer value an education. Why would they value something that has been devalued by the very people instructing them?
It is sinister. It is demeaning. It is deceptive.
Yet, the end goal is to create enough sidewalk agitators to disrupt every aspect of American life. These disrupters will be the useful idiots to carry out the ultimate goal of the redefinition of America.
So how do we stem the tide?
Take Biblical Action
First, we must take biblical action. This means, recognizing the spiritual aspect of the battle and fight spiritually. This can be done through prayer, as well as exercising our God given authority.
The Success Sequence
Secondly, we should encourage the success sequence. The success sequence was created by the Brookings Institute. It essentially says that if a person graduates high school, gets a job, gets married, and then has children, that person is more likely to avoid poverty.
The failure protocol is alluring because it is easier to blame someone else instead of owning up to our mistakes. Taking on personal responsibility for our destiny is daunting.
However, I believe God has placed in the consciousness of every person the desire to achieve.
No one wakes up with a desire to live a substandard life.
It is an acquired deficiency.
Like the itch that will not go away, the failure protocol will continue to infect the lives of our youth unless we put a stop to it.
We must be that balm to bring hope and a bright future.
