Over the past few days, I’ve noticed more and more so called Christian men, bow down to the culture. The latest example being Anthony Bass of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Instead of standing up for his convictions, he acquiesced to the pressure of the alphabet mafia.
So, I thought, what are some traits of a BIBLICAL MAN…
Loves God more than anyone or anything else
This is the prerequisite for being a biblical man.
This man loves God and values his relationship with God more than anything else.
This is important because when a man loves God more than anything or anyone else he is accountable to God and will govern his life in a way that pleases God.
Is Unselfish
A man that is selfish is not a biblical man.
He may call himself a Christian, but he is not biblical.
Being unselfish means that he values the needs of others more than himself.
In a relationship, this means he will sacrifice his needs for the sake of his spouse and family.
Is led by the Word and the Spirit of God
Although, he may miss it sometimes, overall he is submitting to the Lordship of Christ and the Word of God.
This man will judge everything he does in light of the truth of scripture.
You can trust him to make decisions that are Godly and not solely based on emotion.
Is Patient
He is not rash.
He understands the value of letting patience have its perfect work in his life.
Patience is a virtue that will allow him to steer clear of decisions that will lead to destruction.
Is Courageous
This man is willing to stand up for what is right regardless of the cost.
When the trials of life are coming against him, he will not panic, he will not cower in fear or bend the knee.
He will stand firm in the midst of adversity because he is anchored by the Rock.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, but wanted to share the top traits that I believe are exhibited and possessed by a BIBLICAL MAN!
